Annual General Meeting
17th January 2012, 2000 GMT start, at the club QTH.

Dudley and District Amateur Radio Society is a growing group based within the Dudley area. The club serves the local areas but is not limited purely to Dudley. Its members cover a wide range of radio disciplines and not all the members are licensed operators.
Over the years Amateur Radio has grown from those few individuals who embraced new emerging technology and turned in to what is now a worldwide hobby. Not only a hobby, Amateur Radio is the starting point for many professional careers in Radio and related subjects and examples of Amateur Radio based discoveries or influence can be found all around you.
Amateur Radio is not just a technical hobby where people talk to each other. In these days of sophisticated communication networks there is still a place for hobby where people can make things, exchange ideas and continue to push the boundaries of everyday thinking and engineering.
So, if you are interested in a hobby that is rewarding, engaging and at times humorous then get in touch. We are a friendly bunch who extend a warm welcome to anyone who wishes to delve in to local and worldwide communications. You don't have to hold a licence to listen nor is it an overtly expensive hobby.
The club meets weekly and activities range from nights with the radios in full swing to a talk or demonstration. If nothing else is planed then a lively chat around the table with tea and biscuits awaits you.

The more talks we can hold the more we can keep the club active. It does not have to be a radio related subject as the society has a diverse range of members so other subject matter is always welcome.
